ah! it's SO good to hear from you both! :) now we just need amanda and dawn to jump on the blog bus, so to speak. um, wow. stories will happen, yes. they happen every dang day, over in the special ed corner of dupont el. speaking of which, they call special ed out here "sped." i'm sorry, but where i come from, sped is pretty derogatory. it's so strange to hear professionals use it! things changed yet again today (big surprise there...) i got two new students (both remarkably ADHD....something realized within oh, FIVE SECONDS of meeting them.) and as my caseload is exploding, the powers that be decided to move me to specialize only in 5th grade. i've got fourteen students now, and the numbers are rising daily :) i think there was something in the water that year.... go figure.
mmm, more stories (and hopefully pictures!) still to come from this side of the country. bri, i want to know how interviewing and door knocking and hr talking went. adia, classroom...situation....stories?
