hi girls!
i thought that a blog would be a great way to share our misadventures, not just from teaching but in everyday life (because y'all know we have them CONSTANTLY!) i want to know how you're all doing! Adia, how is Lansing and your crazy k-3 babies? Dawn, how's married life treating you? (congrats, dear, by the way! i wish i could have gone!) Bri, what's going on in your life? Amanda, what's happening in the Windy City? it's SO strange being in a school without the four of you, saving my sorry, unprepared butt at every turn!
my school is called Dupont Elementary, and yes, we are the Dupont Dinosaurs. our school color is purple....meaning i now am the proud owner of a bright purple polo with a white brontosaurus on the pocket. trennnndy ;) i FINALLY got my assignment, i'll be teaching 4th and 5th grade (special ed, of course. though out here we're called learning specialists.) wow, what a big change (hear the dripping sarcasm). the kids are adding on daily, and whoa, i'm up to about 20 now. eek!
so please, please, blog with me! tell me your stories. let's get through this year as together as we can possibly manage :)

kate -- great idea with the blog! it will be really nice to share ideas, stories, joys and pains with each other as this year unfolds. things are going to be rather interesting i am more than sure, so thank you for the place to express ourselves. i can't believe you'll be the 4th/5th resource room teacher, how cool is that. have fun planning all your procedures and positive behavior supports!! lol...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Adia and think this is a wonderful idea and i am going to be sharing it with the perspective interns this friday. Since the main thing i am talking about at the orientation is that they need to make friends with the other interns in their school. I LOVE THIS IDEA!
